Aminata Pormosquer is 13. She was born in Dakar and was adopted at birth by a middle-class Breton couple who couldn't have children. When Aminata learns by chance that her adoptive mother is pregnant, her world falls apart and she is worried that she will be abandoned again. In the throes of her adolescent crisis, seeking her identity, she rejects her "white" family and seeks refuge in her African roots, notably by writing short stories inspired by African tales. These tribulations allow her to become more mature, grow and find her place in his Breton world that she realizes is now hers.
