DISGRACE

DISGRACE

Isabelle is thirteen. Lonely and uncomfortable with herself, she is bored in her family home at the edge of the wild ocean, between her beautiful mother and her sick father. "She isn't really ugly… but she has no grace. That's worse." These words, overheard in a conversation between her parents, lift the wool from her innocent eyes. Feeling that she has no right to be happy, the young girl decides to die. Vincent, an unknown young rider, saves her from drowning. Isabelle thinks that she can then defeat the curse by growing closer to him. But he becomes her mother's lover. Her grief causes her to betray those who loved her one after the other.
