France Télévisions dévoile le projet “Obama, Great Expectations” de William Karel produit par Flach Film

… Among the other notable projects unveiled by France Télévisions, Le Mythe de la Sirène looks at the story behind the making of director François Truffaut’s 1969 classic Mississippi Mermaid on Réunion Island; while Flach Film and director William Karel have been commissioned to produce Obama, Great Expectations – a two-part doc looking at the U.S. president’s rise to power in 2008 and his first four years in office.

Karel has also been commissioned to make the 79-minute film Albums D’Auschwitz, a documentary telling the intersecting history of two Second World War photo albums, one belonging to a young Jewish girl and the other belonging to an SS officer.

The news comes after France Télévisions earlier this year restructured its commissioning department, as previously reported.
